It was a great night. Please join me in thanking the dozens of volunteers who worked so hard planning and executing this event. These folks put in an immense amount of work. In particular I want to recognize the team leaders: Teri and Cindy on procurement. Wendy on the catalog. Teena on the raffle (and finding our DJ!). Charlene on the outdoor area and catering. The incredible Danna and Stephanie on check-in and check-out. Plus all the people who took care of setup. Barb, who handled communication, signups and all kinds of details that would have otherwise fallen through the cracks. Jessica, who coordinated volunteers and designed the new table layout. And no doubt I have forgotten some folks. Thank you!

And our donors! Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, and to the open wallets of all who attended, we raised approximately $17,000 for our school after expenses. This is a healthy increase over last year’s result, and it puts the PTO on solid footing to fund next year’s activities.

Have we got a night for you! There are over 200 raffle and bid items, DJ Dancing for the kids, and a yummy dinner for sale. Popcorn, cotton candy & sno cones – you and your kids can’t go wrong. Doors open at 4:30pm , and it’s free to attend. No children allowed in without a parent.

You should have received the auction catalog in your child’s back pack on Thursday, take some time to preview the items so you are ready for bidding!

Don’t forget to get your raffle ticket in the Hot Item this year – the newest iPad with retinal display and we also have a Kindle Fire.

Montclair’s largest fundraiser of the year is less than 200 hours away – Are you ready?

First, you need to print out the Pre-Order Form  and turn it in by Monday the 16th. Next, be sure to look for the Auction catalog coming home in backpacks Thursday April 19th.

All Montclair Parents and kids are welcome – free admittance! Doors open at 4:30pm. DJ dancing and crafts for the kids, dinner on sale for everyone. You can pay by check or credit card, and if your kids call it a night, leave early and pay later.

Dinner – $6  = Provided by Texas Pit BBQ. One meal is a bbq pulled pork OR portobello mushroom sandwich. 2 sides. Soda OR water. Popcorn & cotton candy. Purchase the Hot Deal  and save $7. Orders due in office by April 16th

Our kids need you there – See you on the 21st!

Good news! We are going to have some truly epic prizes to raffle off at this year’s Spring Fling, on April 21st. Perhaps you’ve heard of the new iPad? Not the original iPad, which we raffled off last year. Not the iPad 2, which would have been pretty amazing. No, we have the all new iPad. Apple calls it “the third generation of Apple’s category defining mobile device, featuring a stunning new Retina display, Apple’s new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel iSight camera with advanced optics for capturing amazing photos and 1080p HD video.” You can’t even buy them in stores. So that’s the first thing. The second thing is this: we just got a donation to spend a couple hundred bucks on another raffle item. What should we buy for you?
